Reach Records屡获殊荣的 CHH 艺术家1K Phew发布了他即将于 2022 年秋季发行的专辑《As I Am 》中的第三首单曲和MV—— “Safe”。
1K Phew 的精致原始和真诚的直率与认识上帝但流浪街头的人产生共鸣。他之前发行的歌曲“The Offering”和“Church House Trap House”直接为他们说话。
他最新的单曲“Safe”以 Jai’ Len Josey为主角，是一封内省的感谢信，感谢上帝把他从死亡线上救回来。
尽管他在教会长大，父母也是敬虔的祷告者，爱他并鼓励他，但 1K Phew 仍然发现自己在青少年时期走上了一条毁灭性的道路。
“直到有一天我差点被枪杀，我才决定真正将我的生命交给上帝和他的计划。每次我试图按照自己的方式做事时，都没有成功。那件事对我来说是一个转折点。
那天一定是上帝救了我，因为我差点丧命。我不由自主地开始感谢上帝保守我的生命。差点被杀这件事让我当头棒喝。从那天起，我就和以前不一样了。
我专注在与上帝建立个人关系而不是宗教信仰。我很感恩，是上帝保护了我。”
感受到救赎和更新，他便专注于一个更大的目标，创作出可以雅俗共赏的音乐，将人带到上帝面前。
最近在第 37 届年度Stellar 奖上他与Lecrae合作的《 No Church In A While》获得年度Rap/Hip专辑奖。
1K Phew 还与 Lecrae 一起被提名为 2002 年Rap/Hip类的Dove 奖，年度 Hop 专辑（No Church In A While）和年度Rap/Hip歌曲“Wildin”（专辑中的一首歌）。
